Bearcats travel South to take on St. Joseph 


–The Paso Robles Bearcats travel to St. Joseph in Santa Maria to play their second league game Friday night.

The Bearcats are 2-5 for the season, 0-1 in conference. The Knights are 4-3 overall. This is their first league game. The Bearcats are coming off a 21-20 loss against Arroyo Grande at War Memorial Stadium. The other game in the Mountain League has Arroyo Grande (5-3, 1-0) playing at Righetti (6-1, 0-0).

The Atascadero Greyhounds host Pioneer Valley Friday night. The Greyhounds are 2-5 for the season, 0-1 in conference. The Panthers are 1-6, and 0-1. The Greyhounds lost last weekend at San Luis 28-20. The other Pac-4 League game has 3-4 Nipomo against 6-1 San Luis Obispo. Each team is 1-0 in league.

The Templeton Eagles (6-1, 1-0) travel to Morro Bay to take on the Pirates (3-4, 0-1). Eagles quarterback Tyler Kaschewski leads all California QBs in touchdowns and is second in rushing yardage. Last Friday, the Eagles beat Santa Maria 53-10.

Morro Bay is coached by Jake Goosen-Brown, the nephew of legendary Arroyo Grande coach, Tom Goosen. The other game in the Ocean League has Santa Maria (3-4, 0-1) at Mission Prep (3-4, 1-0.)
