Bearcats water polo faces off against Righetti Warriors

–Paso Robles Women’s Water Polo traveled to Santa Maria and faced off against the Righetti Warriors this afternoon in the second round of league play. The Lady Bearcats started with a quick 3-0 run to start the game. The game was tied only twice at 3-3 and 6-6 but the Bearcats never trailed. The largest lead was in the 4th quarter when the Ladies were up 12-8. They would hang on wasting the clock and win the game 12-10.
Aubrey Pasky and Halle Nash led the team in scoring with 4 goals each. Tatiana Smeltzer added 2. MacKenzie Raymond and Emily Christian would each add one apiece to finish off the scoring.
With the victory, the Lady Bearcats secure at least 2nd place in the Mountain League’s inaugural season with a 6-2 record and 19-8 overall. The last time the Bearcats were placed this high in league was 6 years ago with a three-way tie for second (With Righetti and Atascadero). Next Tuesday (10/23) starts the League Carousel at Righetti High School. The Bearcats will also be CIF bound and the First Round is 10/31.
JV also secures the same place and record in league (6-2) with an 8-7 victory over Righetti.
