Beaverstock 2015 will have new Artist Grove at festival 

Dedicated area for visual arts will feature local craftsmen, workshops, yoga and more

– Nate Tyler, celebrated sculptor and famous professional surfer from Templeton, will display his one of-a-kind works of art at Beaverstock in the new, “Artist Grove.” This annual fall music festival hosted by Castoro Cellars and held in the meadow of Whale Rock Vineyard brings together two days of music, art and community celebration on Sept. 19-20, 2015.

BeaverstockThe Artist Grove at Beaverstock is an area dedicated to art installations, interactive art projects and yoga. Kinetic sculptures and metal chandeliers created by Tyler will be displayed throughout the festival. He creates exclusive works of art using a combination of metal, rock and wood. Additional artists include painter and fiber artist Lauren Birkhan, jeweler Lauren Harvey and Paso Robles artist Adam Eron Welch. Yoga instructors Jonathan Gabriel, Seanna Tracy and Harvey will be conducting classes for all ages throughout both days.

“Much more than a music festival, Beaverstock is an experience, a place to be inspired, relax, dance, create and bring the family. The gathering of our beautiful community, the unique local craftsmen and sharing the Beaverstock experience is what makes the festival unlike any other on the Central Coast”, said Special Projects Manager for Castoro Cellars and co-founder of the festival Max Udsen.

Children under the age of 10 are free with adult admission and can take part in craft projects, face painting and be their own musician in the instrument garden. During the two-day festival, guests can take part in workshops and play popular yard games corn hole, giant Jenga, full sized chess and disc golf.

Several gourmet food trucks and craft beverage favorites will be available both days for purchase. Pouring their drafts will be Firestone Walker, Toro Creek, Barrelhouse and Bristols Cider. Castoro Cellars wines will be available in signature take-home Beaverstock canteens and GoVino glasses. Local food vendors include The Paring Knife, Fire & Wine wood fired pizza, Higgies World BBQ, Bliss Cafe, Lemoine Creperie, Kona Ice, Sugar Lips mini donuts, McCall Farm Guacamole and Sugar & Salt Creamery.

Many well-known performers make up the weekend’s lineup on the Beaverstock Main Stage, including Saturday’s headliner American roots rock band Dawes. California Honeydrops, SambaDa, The Bills and The Tipsy Gypsies are all part of Saturdays’ line-up. Sunday features La Santa Cecilia, Birds of Chicago, The Brothers Comatose, The Mother Corn Shuckers and headliner jazz/rock legends War will closeout the festival. The Stompin Grounds stage will feature local favorite bands The Turkey Buzzards, One Time Spaceman, Bear Market Riot, Chris Beland and Guy Budd with Inga Swearingen.

All the proceeds from the festival go to the Templeton Education Foundation, which benefits Templeton Public Schools.
