Beloved children's book comes to life in Templeton

    Performances start Nov. 7

    – The Templeton High School Theatre Arts Program has announced its upcoming production of “The Miraculous Journey of Edward Tulane,” based on the award-winning novel by Kate DiCamillo. The play will run from Thursday, Nov. 7, to Saturday, Nov. 16, in the Templeton Performing Arts Center on the Templeton High School campus, located at 1200 S. Main St.

The story follows Edward Tulane, a china doll rabbit who embarks on a journey of self-discovery after he is lost, learning about love, loss, and connection through various encounters. Templeton High School students have worked with this story of resilience and connection, aiming to share its message with the community.

Performances will be held at 7 p.m. on Thursdays and Fridays, and at 4 p.m. on Saturdays. Tickets are available at templetondrama.ludus.com. The play is open to all ages and contains some scenes of peril, which would likely earn it a PG rating if it were a film.Beloved children's book comes to life in Templeton
