Concert aims to capture the energy of Billy Joel’s classic performances

    – Billy Nation, a nationally touring tribute band, will perform at the Performing Arts Center San Luis Obispo’s Spanos Theatre on Oct. 12 at 7:30 p.m. The show will feature renditions of Billy Joel’s top hits, including songs from his three decades of albums.

The concert aims to capture the energy of Billy Joel’s classic performances, with Billy Nation’s founder, Adam Shapiro, leading the six-piece band. Shapiro, whose father was also a New York-based pianist and singer, said, “Performing as Billy Joel is a way of honoring my father’s legacy through music.” He added, “We are excited for the audience to experience the music and energy. With so many iconic hits, the audience will become part of our show!”

Tickets for the event are priced between $40 and $59 and can be purchased online here or at the Performing Arts Center San Luis Obispo Box Office at (805) 756-4849.

The Performing Arts Center San Luis Obispo, which opened in 1996, is a state-of-the-art venue operated in partnership with Cal Poly, the city of San Luis Obispo, and the Foundation for the Performing Arts Center.
