Black Student Union hosts special event on campus for Black History Month
Event included food, music, and dancing to celebrate Black history and culture
– Paso Robles High School‘s Black Student Union Hosted a community event on Saturday on the high school campus. The event, celebrating Black History Month, went from 1-3 p.m. and included food, music, and dancing.
BSU President Kelen Macharia said in a statement:
“With it being Black History Month, the PRHS Black Student Union wanted to do something for both our school and community to celebrate Black history and culture. We had multiple events happening on campus today, so the foot traffic was huge for our event. We had kids games, a bracelet-making station, snow cones, food, music, an Omega Psi Phi member, and an Alpha Kappa Alpha member. It was a great day filled with laughter, fun, and community. This event truly came from the family and connections Paso has built throughout the years. Seeing the turnout of this event, I’m more than excited to see where the future lies for us.”
