    Boat found overturned in Cayucos

No individuals or identifying information related to the vessel were found

    – The San Luis Obispo County Sheriff’s Office, in coordination with the California Highway Patrol Coastal Division Air Operations and California State Parks, responded to a report of an overturned sailboat spotted off the coast of Cayucos on Wednesday, according to a Facebook post.

The search operation involved Morro Bay Harbor Patrol, the Coast Guard, CHP, State Parks, and deputies from the San Luis Obispo County Sheriff’s Office. These agencies collaborated to locate the vessel and verify no one was in danger.

To inspect and identify the boat, the Sheriff’s Office Dive Team was called in, with additional support from CHP’s helicopter, H-70. Divers were deployed into the water via helocasting, allowing them to assess the overturned sailboat closely. Simultaneously, coordinated efforts were maintained from the shore, air, and water.

Following an extensive search, no individuals or identifying information related to the vessel were found.
