Bomb threat reported at Templeton High School
School officials reported a male caller phoned the school and made generalized threat
–San Luis Obispo County Sheriff’s Deputies responded on Monday to a report of a bomb threat at Templeton High School. School officials reported a male caller phoned the school office at approximately 11:55 a.m. and made a generalized threat against the school.
Out of an abundance of caution, the school was evacuated in a safe and orderly fashion. The students at the school were returned to their parents beginning at approximately 1:30 p.m. No one was hurt.
Sheriff’s deputies and investigators conducted a sweep of the school grounds and all buildings and classrooms with the help of a bomb sniffing K9. At approximately 4 p.m., the school was cleared and no suspicious devices were found. The school was turned back over to school personnel.
The investigation into who made the threat is ongoing.
