    Boys & Girls Clubs appoints new chief advancement officer

    – The Boys & Girls Clubs of Mid Central Coast announced the appointment of Deb Jeffers as the organization’s new Chief Advancement Officer following a national search. Jeffers brings significant experience in nonprofit leadership, strategic fundraising, and community engagement, having previously served at the American Cancer Society.

    As Chief Advancement Officer, Jeffers will lead development efforts aimed at expanding resources to support programs and services for youth across the Central Coast. Her work will focus on building relationships with donors, community partners, and stakeholders to further the organization’s mission of empowering young people to reach their full potential.

    “We are thrilled to welcome Deb to our team,” said Maria Fabula, CEO of Boys & Girls Clubs of Mid Central Coast. “Her notable experience in nonprofit advancement and her passion for creating opportunities for youth will help us achieve new levels of impact in the communities we serve.”

    At the American Cancer Society, Jeffers successfully led multimillion-dollar fundraising campaigns, developed partnerships, and inspired teams to deliver impactful results. Her track record of fostering collaborative relationships and driving growth aligns with the organization’s goals of serving local youth and cultivating a culture of philanthropy.

    “I am honored to join Boys & Girls Clubs of Mid Central Coast and contribute to such a vital mission,” Jeffers said. “This is an incredible opportunity to work with a dedicated team and a supportive community to ensure that every young person has access to the resources and encouragement they need to succeed.”

    Founded in 1966, the Boys & Girls Clubs of Mid Central Coast provides after-school tutoring, mentoring, and access to healthy activities for kids from transitional kindergarten through age 18. The organization operates 10 club sites in Atascadero, Creston, Guadalupe, Paso Robles, Santa Maria, and Shandon, serving youth across Santa Barbara and San Luis Obispo counties.
