Bradley Road overlay project to begin March 9

    Daytime construction planned from 7 a.m. to 4 p.m.

Monterey County announced that the Bradley Road Overlay Project between Bradley Bridge and Sargent Road will begin March 9.

The project is expected to take approximately three weeks to complete, weather permitting.

The work will include removing old asphalt along Bradley Road, Monterey Street, Pleyto Street, and Salinas Street, and replacing it with new hot mix asphalt, as well as installing striping, marking, and reflectors.

Construction will occur primarily during daytime hours from 7 a.m. to 4 p.m. Motorists are advised to use alternate routes during work hours.

The county said it will provide updates to the community regarding the progress of the project and its impact on traffic.

The estimated construction cost is approximately $650,000. Measure AA funds the project.

Granite Construction will serve as the prime contractor.
