A brighter future in store for Downtown City Park playground
–The City of Paso Robles is installing more lighting over the award-winning downtown City Park playground this winter. Certain sections of the playground will be closed while the lights are installed.
In 2016 the park received upgrades to infrastructure, landscaping and the playground that were funded by an $805,000 grant. Later that year the Paso Robles Chamber of Commerce honored the city with its annual Downtown Beautification Award. “We love to see the community embracing our newly renovated city park,” said Julie Dahlen, Director of Community Services. “Adding lights will make the playground even more magical for youngsters enjoying the park in the evening hours. Installation will be carefully phased so that only one part of the playground will be shut down at a time.”
Weather pending, this project will be completed before Dec 22. For more information, call City Maintenance Superintendent, Freda Berman at (805) 237-3873.
