Brunch event supports affordable housing efforts
– Habitat for Humanity San Luis Obispo County is issuing a final call for tickets to its fundraising event, Home Sweet Home: A Brunch to Build Futures, set for Oct. 25 from 10:30 a.m. to 12 p.m. at Lone Madrone Winery in Paso Robles.
The community brunch will include pancakes, fruit, yogurt, coffee, and wine, with proceeds supporting Habitat SLO’s mission to build and preserve affordable housing throughout San Luis Obispo County. Funds raised will benefit programs such as Home Preservation/Aging in Place, which helps seniors and families remain safe and secure in their homes.
“Home Sweet Home is a chance to connect, give back, and help ensure more neighbors across our community have the stability and security they deserve,” said Dawn Smith, director of development at Habitat SLO.
“Safe, affordable housing is the foundation for a strong community,” said Anthony Overton, CEO of Habitat SLO. “By joining us for this event, you’re not only enjoying a morning of community and connection — you’re directly helping us build a brighter, more resilient future for families and seniors in San Luis Obispo County.”
Tickets are $60 in advance and $70 at the door, if available. Children 10 and under eat free. Space is limited, and the event is expected to sell out.
Tickets and sponsorship opportunities are available at www.habitatslo.org/Home-Sweet-Home or by contacting Smith at dawn@habitatslo.org
