Update: Burglary suspect arrested

On September 22, officers from the Paso Robles PD received a citizen tip that Jose Armando Montes Guillen was seen in the 1600 block of Christina Court. Officers responded to the area and immediately located Guillen attempting to hide behind a parked vehicle. Guillen was taken into custody and booked at the San Luis Obispo County Jail for felony burglary.

On Thursday, officers from the Paso Robles Police Department responded to an interrupted burglary in the 1200 block of Katherine Ct.
The owner of the residence had returned home and discovered a man inside of her bedroom. The suspect was later identified by surveillance footage as Jose Armando Montes Guillen. Guillen had a black backpack full of the victim’s belongings and fled out an open bedroom window, according to the report.
Guillen lives in the same area and is believed to be responsible for additional burglaries within the neighborhood, police said. Guillen is described as an adult Hispanic male, 20 years old, 5-11, 240 lbs. with brown hair and brown eyes. Guillen is known to frequent the local motels in San Luis Obispo County.
