By the Sea Productions to present murder mystery spoof ‘The Butler Did It’
Audience members can expect a murder mystery with comedy and twists
– By the Sea Productions will present “The Butler Did It,” a spoof of classic murder mysteries, from July 24 through Aug. 9 in Morro Bay.
Written by Tim Kelly and directed by Samvel Gottlieb, the play follows a group of mystery writers who are invited to a mansion on an island and instructed to assume the roles of their detective characters. As a storm approaches, a murder occurs, leaving the guests to solve the mystery.
The cast includes Laura Richie as the hostess, along with Jenn Beck, Rick Bruce, Nicki Butler, Kira Dobson, Wren Hall, Christian Henry, Tim Linzey, Amanda Robinson, and Landen Scott.
Performances will be held at 545 Shasta Ave. in Morro Bay. Showtimes are 7 p.m. Fridays and Saturdays and 3 p.m. Sundays.
