By the Sea Productions to present ‘Proof’

– By the Sea Productions will present David Auburn’s play “Proof” in August, directed by Samvel Gottlieb.
The drama follows Catherine, played by Wren Hall, who has spent years caring for her brilliant but mentally ill father, Robert, played by Tom Ammon, a renowned mathematician.
After Robert’s death, Catherine’s estranged sister, played by Kira Dobson, and one of Robert’s former students, played by Charles Charm, return, raising questions about whether genius or madness can be inherited and how trust is built within families.
“Proof” will run on weekends from Aug. 8-24 at 545 Shasta Ave. in Morro Bay. Tickets and reservations are available at bytheseaproductions.org or by calling (805) 776-3287.
