Cal Fire reopens La Panza Station after maintenance

    – La Panza Station No. 41 has reopened and resumed normal operations following scheduled maintenance, according to Cal Fire San Luis Obispo Unit.

The station was closed for several weeks while crews completed preventative maintenance. Cal Fire officials said the station is now fully operational.

“We want to thank the community for their patience during this project,” said Cal Fire San Luis Obispo Unit Chief John Owens. “While the station was temporarily closed, there was no decrease in our level of service to the public.”

Cal Fire stated the maintenance is part of its ongoing efforts to maintain safe and functional facilities for fire personnel. The work is intended to ensure the station’s long-term readiness and reinforce Cal Fire’s mission to protect life, property, and natural resources throughout San Luis Obispo County.
