    Cal Fire temporarily closes North County fire station 

    La Panza Fire Station 41 located in Santa Margarita

    – Cal Fire San Luis Obispo Unit has announced the temporary closure of La Panza Fire Station 41 from June 19 through July 18 due to essential maintenance work to ensure the station remains operationally ready for future fire response.

    Located at 5398 Pozo Road in Santa Margarita, Station 41 will not be in service during the maintenance period. Staff have been relocated to Carrizo Plain Fire Station 42 to maintain coverage and response capability in the region.

    People who need to reach Station 41 staff during the closure can call Carrizo Plain Fire Station at (805) 475-2322.

    Cal Fire thanked the public for its understanding and support as it works to maintain the safety, reliability and readiness of its facilities.
