Cal Poly men’s soccer to play in Paso Robles

Cal Poly Men’s Soccer
Paso Robles Joint Unified School District announced Wednesday the latest event in its continued partnership with Cal Poly Athletics. In an effort to expand its outreach to the North County and make events accessible to this area, Cal Poly Men’s Soccer will be taking on Fresno Pacific University on Saturday, April 22, in Paso Robles.

The event will be held at the Paso Robles Horse Park located at 3801 Hughes Parkway. Admission is free. The cost for parking is $10 per car. Game time is 3:00 PM with gates opening at 2:00.

“This is a great opportunity for local student athletes to experience athletics at the highest level,” says PRJUSD director of district athletics, Rich Clayton. “This type of exposure is a tremendous motivator and allows kids to see what they can achieve with hard work and dedication.”

Last spring, PRJUSD hosted Cal Poly student athletes in its inaugural “Future Bearcats Meet the Mustangs” event held at War Memorial Stadium. The Mustang athletes led over 300 elementary students in team building and leadership activities.

This soccer game is part of the five-match spring schedule for Cal Poly Men’s Soccer. The soccer team will be signing autographs and taking pictures after the game. All proceeds benefit youth athletics in Paso Robles.
