Cal Poly student arrested for attempted burglary, intent to rape
Incident occurred earlier this month in Poly Canyon Village
– Cal Poly Police Department (CPPD) arrested Cal Poly student and RA Alexis Alejandro, 25, in connection with an attempted burglary in Poly Canyon Village, according to multiple reports.
CPPD reported in an email on Sept. 7 that officers received a report of an attempted burglary at about 3 a.m. at one of the university’s Poly Canyon Village apartments. Alejandro was arrested on charges of burglary and assault with intent to commit rape. Alejandro was a Resident Advisor (RA), according to a report by The Mustang News.
CPPD took Alejandro into custody on Thursday, Sept. 19, around 3:45 p.m. He was booked into the San Luis Obispo County Jail and has been barred from campus, reports say.
