California Highway Patrol investigates two-vehicle crash near Jardine Road
Authorities reported that alcohol or drugs were not factors in the crash
– California Highway Patrol officers responded to a two-vehicle crash at approximately 8:52 p.m. on Friday on State Route 46 West at Jardine Road, near Paso Robles.
According to investigators, a 26-year-old woman was driving a gray Honda Civic eastbound on State Route 46 West in the left-turn lane at Jardine Road. A 65-year-old man was driving a black Ford F-350 westbound on the same roadway.
Officers determined that the woman failed to yield the right of way to oncoming traffic and drove her vehicle directly into the path of the westbound Ford F-350.
The woman was transported to Sierra Vista Hospital and was suspected to have major injuries.
Authorities reported that alcohol or drugs were not factors in the crash. The incident remains under investigation by the California Highway Patrol Templeton Area office.
