Academy of Country Music Awards acknowledges fair’s contributions to live music
– The California Mid-State Fair has been nominated for “Fair/Rodeo of the Year” by the Academy of Country Music Awards. The nomination recognizes the fair’s contributions to country music programming and its role in celebrating the Central Coast community.
The fair has hosted past performances from artists including Luke Bryan, Eric Church, and Garth Brooks. This summer, scheduled acts include Cody Johnson, Keith Urban, Jon Pardi, and Bailey Zimmerman. The fair will also host the Country Rodeo Finals, a consistently sold-out event.
“We are incredibly honored to be nominated by the ACM,” said Colleen Bojorquez, CEO of the California Mid-State Fair. “This recognition is a testament to the hard work of our team, the support of our community, and the amazing fans who come out year after year to celebrate music, agriculture, and tradition with us.”
Since its establishment in 1946, the California Mid-State Fair has highlighted the region’s agricultural heritage and community spirit. In addition to concerts, the fair features rides, livestock shows, local exhibits, and tastings from Central Coast wineries and distilleries.
The Academy of Country Music Awards winners will be announced later this spring. The California Mid-State Fair will take place from July 16 to July 27. For tickets and more information, visit www.MidStateFair.com.
