California Welcome Center announces renovation and grand reopening
–While shopping at the Pismo Beach Premium Outlets this weekend, shoppers are invited to stop in the newly refreshed California Welcome Center on Saturday, Dec. 19, from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. Once the welcome center re-opens on Saturday, the regular hours will be 10 a.m. to 5 p.m., seven days a week.
The refresh of the California Welcome Center includes an aesthetically pleasing, inviting design and a selfie spot. The center highlights each destination throughout San Luis Obispo County including the Highway 1 Discovery Route and the SLO Coast and Paso Robles wine regions.
South County Chambers of Commerce recently hired Megan Leininger as the new manager at the Welcome Center. Megan brings a background in marketing and communication from her former role at Morro Bay Tourism. She also brings experience in hospitality, customer service, community outreach, and event planning.
The California Welcome Center in Pismo Beach is sponsored by Visit SLO CAL.
