A call for candidates to run for Templeton Chamber Board
Deadline to “throw your had in the ring” is this Friday
The Templeton Chamber of Commerce has announced that the nomination window is now open for candidates for the 2014 Board of Directors.
The 11-member Board directs the operations of the Templeton Chamber of Commerce that include setting the budget, hiring and supervising Chamber staff, and the setting of bylaws, policies, and procedures.
The Board meets monthly on the 2nd Wednesday from 7 to 8:30 am at Twin Cities Community Hospital. In addition, Board members are expected to participate in various Chamber activities and events throughout the year.
There are 7 seats open in this election. Continuing Board members include Kristen Handley of Continental Labor and Staffing, Mike Lane of Twin Cities Community Hospital, Shirley Sigmund of Atascadero State Hospital who is also a Trustee for the Templeton Unified School District, and Olan Kaigel of Century 21 Hometown Realty.
The ballot will be emailed to all members in good standing on Wednesday, May 28th and are due back no later than Monday, June 9th by 5 pm. The 3-year term will start July 1st, 2014.
If you have strong ties to Templeton (business owner/manager, resident, etc.), a commitment to the town’s economic and community growth, and are or will be a member of the Templeton Chamber of Commerce, we would encourage you to “throw your hat into the ring” for this important role.
