Caltrans lifts traffic control on Highway 166 near US 101
– One-way traffic control across 2.2 miles of Highway 166, about 16 miles east of U.S. 101, ended Friday at 4:30 p.m., Caltrans announced.
Travelers on Highway 166 between U.S. 101 and Highway 33 should now expect intermittent flagging operations with one-way reversing traffic control and delays of up to 20 minutes over the next several weeks.
The work will allow crews to continue post-fire construction, including rock scaling to stabilize slopes left bare by the fire. Crews will also repair pavement, shoulders, drainage infrastructure and guardrails in areas damaged by recent wildfires.
