Cambria Nursery opens fall season with pumpkin patch, goats
– Cambria Nursery is welcoming the fall season with a variety of activities and attractions starting Oct. 1. Visitors can enjoy a locally grown pumpkin patch, a new farm stand featuring fresh produce, and meet the nursery’s newest additions—two Nigerian Dwarf goats. The nursery is also participating in the Cambria Scarecrow Festival and offering workshops throughout October.
“Our goal is to bring even greater variety and fun to this beloved fall tradition, with additional pumpkins, cute new goats, exciting new activities, and plenty of family-friendly fun,” said General Manager of Cambria Nursery Mike Arnold.
The pumpkin patch, featuring a range of pumpkins from the nursery’s sister property, The 46 Ranch, offers a photo-friendly farm scene. Visitors can also shop for fresh, locally grown produce at the new farm stand. Available produce includes tomatoes, onions, peppers, avocados, and pasture-raised eggs from The 46 Ranch.
Arnold said, “Our new farm stand is all about offering visitors fresh, local produce directly from The 46 Ranch. We want guests to experience the best of what the region has to offer right here at the nursery.”
In addition to pumpkins and produce, guests can visit two friendly Nigerian Dwarf goats, which visitors are welcome to feed.
Cambria Scarecrow Festival displays will be featured throughout the month of October. The nursery will also host “A Salute to Scarecrows” party on Oct. 26 from 6 p.m. to 8 p.m., featuring live music, prizes, and a costume contest. Tickets for the event are $75.
Workshops include the Succulent Pumpkin Workshop on Oct. 12 at 2 p.m., and the Painted Pumpkin Workshop on Oct. 13 at 11 a.m. Both workshops require reservations, and the $35 and $25 fees, respectively, include all materials.
The nursery’s annual “Visions of Christmas” shopping experience also opens Oct. 1, offering themed displays, decorated trees, and photo opportunities. From Oct. 1 to Oct. 8, the nursery will cover sales tax on Christmas items from the gift shop, excluding vintage or antique items.
