Camp Natoma wraps up summer camp sessions
Camp hosted campers for seven consecutive week-long sessions as well as a family camp weekend
– Local San Luis Obispo-based nonprofit, Camp Natoma, which provides week-long summer camp sessions for youth on the Central Coast, announced that they have wrapped up a successful 2022 summer. They hosted campers for seven consecutive week-long sessions as well as a family camp weekend with smiles all around.
Some favorite activities included handcrafts and art, drama skits, swim class, practicing archery, throwing hatchets, exploring nature, outdoor skills class, and going down the waterslide during free swim. The camp had a dedicated team of counselors, lifeguards, archery instructors, medical staff, volunteers, and cooks to make this summer a memorable camp experience for all who attended.
Camp Natoma is a popular outdoor experience for youth in San Luis Obispo County. The camp believes that “youth need to get outside now more than ever, and connect with role models, be physically active, and immerse themselves into a camp setting that fosters individual growth, independence, resilience, empathy, and friendship through challenges and relationship building.”
