Camp Roberts hosts 25th annual Buzz Marathon March 1
Event provides an opportunity for competitive runners aiming for a Boston qualifying time
– Camp Roberts Morale Welfare and Recreation will host the 25th Annual Buzz Marathon on Saturday, March 1, 2025, at the historic military training center. Located just north of San Luis Obispo County, the event draws runners seeking a challenging and scenic course.
This year’s marathon features a variety of races, including the marathon and half marathon, which will start at 7:30 a.m., with walkers beginning at 7 a.m. The 10K race starts at 8 a.m., followed by the 5K at 8:30 a.m. The Children’s Mile, for participants under age 12, will begin at 9 a.m. Course closure is scheduled for 3 p.m.
Childcare will be available for participants who notify organizers in advance. For those registered for the Children’s Mile, personnel will assist with safe transport to and from the finish line. The Camp Roberts Museum and Annex will be open for browsing, with additional vehicle displays available for climbing and photo opportunities.
The Buzz Marathon, celebrating its 25th anniversary this year, continues to foster community spirit, fitness, and fun. The event provides an opportunity for competitive runners aiming for a Boston qualifying time, as well as for those simply seeking a scenic run with family and friends.
