Candidate filing opens for Paso Robles school board elections
Three trustee area seats will appear on the Nov. 3 general election ballot
– Community members interested in serving on the Paso Robles Joint Unified School District (PRJUSD) Governing Board are encouraged to learn more about the candidate filing process through the San Luis Obispo County Clerk-Recorder’s Elections Office.
The filing period for candidates seeking election to the PRJUSD Governing Board opened July 13 and closes August 7, 2026.
Three seats on the Governing Board will appear on the November 3, 2026, General Election ballot, representing Trustee Areas 1, 2, and 4.
To be eligible to serve as a School Board Trustee, candidates must:
Be a US citizen and at least 18 years of age
Not be legally disqualified from holding civil office
Be a registered voter residing within the boundaries of PRJUSD
Reside within Trustee Area 1, 2, or 4, depending on the seat being sought, for a 4-year term
