Canvaser harassed, allegedly assaulted in Paso Robles

Recently, while canvassing neighborhoods in Paso Robles for the Justin Fareed for Congress campaign, a young college student named Isaac Schick was physically assaulted, chased and showered with obscenities for sharing literature and encouraging a man to get out and vote, according to the Fareed campaign.

Reports say that Schick was canvassing the neighborhood of Bel Air Place in Paso Robles when he knocked on the door of Bart Charles.

Schick said that Charles called Fareed a racist and a fascist and “began screaming and cursing.” While walking away he allegedly got punched in the back.

Schick reported the alleged assault to the Paso Robles Police department. An investigation is ongoing, reports say.
