Carmel & Naccasha law firm hires new attorney 

– Carmel & Naccasha LLP recently announced that Emilie K. Elliott has joined the firm as an attorney. Elliott has distinguished herself in many of the firm’s primary practice areas including business and intellectual property transactions, according to a press release from the firm.

Elliott’s health care law practice comes with her background as a registered nurse in the ER of a hospital in Visalia. After graduating from law school, Elliott went on to start a practice at Sheppard, Mullin, Richter & Hampton in San Francisco. Most recently, she worked for a law firm in her hometown of Visalia, where she focused her practice on employment law, health care and transactional work.

Elliott earned a Bachelor’s of Science degree in Psychobiology from the University of California, Los Angeles, and her Juris Doctor from the University of Southern California. While in law school, she earned the Peter Knecht Award for Excellence in Copyright, Contract and Entertainment Law. She also used her expertise during this time to serve as the production editor of the Review of Law and Women’s Studies journal. Emilie is a member of the California State Bar Association and is registered to practice before the United States Patent and Trademark Office.

Carmel & Naccasha has offices in both San Luis Obispo and Paso Robles. The firm’s lawyers focus their practice in the areas of municipal law, business transactions, real property, land use, commercial and employment litigation, taxation and tax controversies, trusts and estate planning, wine law, and insurance coverage. The firm was originally founded in 2004 by Tim Carmel and Ziyad Naccasha.
