Cayucos fire station to close temporarily
On April 1, the Cal Fire Cayucos Fire Station #11 will be closed until April 13, 2015. The station is kept open in the winter months by a cooperative agreement funded by the Cayucos Fire Protection District or FPD.
The Cayucos FPD is discontinuing this agreement early to save Cayucos FPD funds. The station will reopen the station on April 13 as part of the State’s fire season staffing plan. As with all seasonal fire stations, the Cayucos Fire Station may be staffed during the closure if fire conditions or weather patterns change.
The Cayucos FPD volunteer firefighters will continue to responds to all emergencies during this period.
