Celebrate ‘Take Your Child to the Library Day’ 

Author and illustrator James Horvath will entertain children as a special guest during Take Your Child to the Library Day at the Paso Robles Library on Monday, Feb. 9.  Horvath will read his books and teach the children how to draw his characters during a special story time at 10:30 and 11:30 a.m. in the Library Conference Room.  A full day of activities is planned at the Library from 10 a.m. to 8 p.m. for this nation-wide celebration which encourages parents and caregivers to bring children to the library on a regular basis.

The Paso Robles Library is inviting the community to visit Monday, Feb. 9, as they celebrate Take Your Child to the Library Day, an annual nationwide event to encourage parents and caregivers to bring children to the library on a regular basis.

Special programs throughout the day include a meet-the-author pre-school story time. Story Time is at 10:30 a.m. and 11:30 a.m. featuring guest author James Horvath (Dig, Dogs Dig: A Construction Tail; Build Dogs, Build: A Tall Tail; and Work, Dogs, Work: A Highway Tail).

Following the story times, Horvath will have his books available for autograph/purchase. Join in a library scavenger hunt and other activities throughout the day to help your child develop a love of the library.

On Wednesday, Feb. 11, drop in to enjoy a Valentine Crafternoon 2-5 p.m. in the Library Story Room or 2-3:30 p.m. at the Library Study Center, 3600 Oak St. Crafting supplies available while supplies last.
