Cemetery to host annual Veterans Day ceremony

–The Paso Robles District Cemetery will be hosting their annual Veterans Day Ceremony on Wednesday, Nov. 11, starting at 11 a.m. The cemetery is located at 45 Nacimiento Lake Drive in Paso Robles.

The ceremony will begin with a fly over by the Estrella War Birds, a special invocation, and the pledge of allegiance led by local Boy and Girl Scouts. Mayor Steve Martin will give the welcome message, followed by a presentation by special guest speaker Colonel Jan. C. Norris, a Fort Hunter Ligget Commander. Marjorie Hamon will lead the crowd through special patriotic songs, and the ceremony will finish with a closing prayer by Reverend Ruben Tate, a presentation by the Honor Guard, and a playing of “Taps” by Ashley White.

All are invited to attend this special event that honors the men and women who serve this county. Coffee, hot chocolate and cookies will be provided by the cemetery, and a hot dog lunch will be provided by Kuehl-Nicolay Funeral Home.
