Central Coast Cider Festival pours into Atascadero Aug. 10

–The Central Coast Cider Festival (CiderFest), slated for Saturday, Aug. 10, is just around the corner. Presented by the Central Coast Cider Association, CiderFest will take place at the Atascadero Pavilion on the Lake and Park from 5 p.m. – 8 p.m. Fifteen different cideries from throughout California will be pouring their craft beverages. Seven food vendors will serve up local bites for all, as attendees enjoy live music from The Tipsy Gypsies.

This year’s participating cideries include: Anna’s Cider, Black Hand Cellars Cider, Bristols, Farmhouse Wine & Cider Co., Golden State Cider, Gopher Glen Cider Co., Indigeny Reserve, Jean Marie Cidery, Kelsey See Canyon Vineyards, Schilling Hard Cider, See Canyon Hard Cider, Sycamore Ranch Cider Works, Tin City Cider Co., Two Broads Ciderworks, and Work & Play.

New in 2019, an InCider Experience ticket is available to guests who prefer a more intimate tasting experience. InCider Experience ticket holders will have exclusive access to a VIP lounge, where they can sip on specialty ciders, chat with cidermakers and enjoy a selection of divine cheeses to pair. Tickets to the InCider Experience are $65 and are limited to 100 people.

A revamped Sunday Brunch Seminar will be held on Sunday, Aug. 11, 2019 at 11 a.m., presented by ETS Laboratories. This in-depth discussion will teach attendees about the different flavor profiles of single varietal ciders, paired with a full brunch by Hurricane Kitchen. The panel will be moderated by Cidercraft Magazine’s Darlene Hayes, author and cider aficionado. The Sunday Brunch Seminar will be held at the Atascadero City Hall Rotunda. Tickets are $50 and ticket packages are available. Industry discounts are also available.

“The changes and additions to this year’s event highlight the elements of the industry that feed our passions,” said Maggie Przybylski, co-owner of Two Broads Ciderworks and member of the Central Coast Cider Association. “We look forward to sharing these passions and ciders with guests.”

A portion of the proceeds from this year’s event will benefit Woods Humane Society’s Daphne Fahsing Spay & Neuter Clinic in Atascadero. General Admission tickets start at $45 per person.
