Central Coast Economic forecast looks to 2017 

Erica Orange joins economic experts at Nov. 4 eventstock image economics

─ The Central Coast Economic Forecast annual event is set for Friday, Nov. 4, at the Alex Madonna Expo Center in San Luis Obispo. Beacon Economics’ analysts Chris Thornberg and Robert Kleinhenz will present year-in-review information and 2017 projections for local, state and national economies. Kleinhenz, who holds his doctorate in economics with a specialty in urban and regional economics, will include a focus on the proposed closure of Diablo Canyon Power Plant as part of his presentation.

Erica Orange, renowned expert on future trends, will join the 2016 speaker lineup. The executive vice president and chief operations officer for The Future Hunters, Orange will discuss emerging social, technological, economic, political, demographic and environmental trends and how they will affect business and the world at large.

The annual forecast event begins with continental breakfast at 7:30 a.m. followed by presentations from 8:30-11:30 a.m. Bob Wacker of R.E. Wacker Wealth Partners LLC will serve as master of ceremonies and will be joined on the dais by CCEF 2016 Chair Anthony Palazzo. Admission includes access to the 2016-2017 San Luis Obispo Economic Outlook Report. The Central Coast Economic Forecast is produced with support from platinum level sponsors PG&E, Bank of America, BCA, Cal Poly and the Cal Poly Orfalea College of Business along with dozens of local business, organization and government sponsors. The forecast is overseen by a volunteer board of local business leaders and was developed to provide a reliable and insightful source of local, state and national economic information.
