Tournament offers WTA ranking points and $60,000 prize purse

    – The Central Coast Tennis Classic will return to the Templeton Tennis Ranch from Sept. 22-28, tournament officials announced.

The ITF World Tour / USTA Pro Circuit event will feature American and international players competing for $60,000 in prize money and WTA World Tour ranking points. Tickets start at $25 and are available at www.centralcoasttennisclassic.com.

Templeton Tennis Ranch President and General Manager Chris Fouquet said the tournament has hosted players who later appeared in Grand Slam events. Since its start in 2017, between 75 and 80 former Central Coast Tennis Classic players typically compete in singles, doubles and mixed doubles draws.

“It’s always fun to look up and track our former players and to see them rising in the rankings and progressing at the world’s biggest tennis tournaments,” Fouquet said. “The Central Coast Tennis Classic offers such a unique opportunity to watch, up close, some of the players who may one day be the next superstars of women’s tennis.”

Taylor Townsend, who won the Central Coast Tennis Classic singles title in 2023, currently holds the world No. 1 doubles ranking. She has won two Grand Slam doubles titles, the 2024 Wimbledon and the 2025 Australian Open, since her Templeton appearance. Townsend is also ranked No. 75 in singles.

Tournament updates will be posted on Facebook at www.facebook.com/ttrprotennis and Instagram at @TTRTennis.

Templeton Tennis Ranch is located at 345 Championship Lane in Templeton, off the Main Street exit from Highway 101.
