Local Verizon users experience service outage Monday evening 

– Verizon users across the Central Coast reported service outages Monday evening, leaving them with only basic access to emergency services.

Residents from as far north as San Miguel and as far south as Santa Barbara reported issues with Verizon on social media sites X and Facebook. Many users stated they could only contact emergency services, known as SOS Only mode.

The Paso Robles Police Department said on Facebook that they were receiving calls from residents asking why their cell phones were not working:

The Verizon outage map showed no reports of outages as of Tuesday morning. No information was available regarding the cause of the outage.
