Central Coast Zoo screens special film for members, public

    – The Friends of the Zoo will host a special screening of Condor Canyon, a rated PG feature film about California condors, at the Central Coast Zoo & Zoo Garden Event Center on Oct. 18 at 6:30 p.m. Current zoo members receive two complimentary tickets but must register. Non-member pricing is $20 for ages 11 and up and $10 for children 10 and under. Reservations are available at https://my805tix.com/e/zoomovie.

Produced by Ventana Wildlife Society, a longtime conservation partner of the Central Coast Zoo, the film presents the story of the California condor from near extinction to ongoing recovery efforts and emphasizes the protection of wildlife habitats for future generations.

“California condors remind us that even the most endangered species can make a comeback when people work together,” said Angela Cisneros, Friends of the Zoo President. “Sharing their story on the big screen is a chance to inspire hope, gratitude, and action. We’re especially excited to celebrate our members by offering them two free tickets to this meaningful event.”

The screening is part of the zoo’s membership program, which provides families, individuals, and community members with opportunities to participate in conservation education, animal care, and special events throughout the year.

Central Coast Zoo memberships support animal care, environmental education, and wildlife conservation. Membership levels include Voyager Guest Pass ($500), Discovery Expedition ($200), Family Safari ($150), Explorer Duo ($100), and Timeless Traveler ($50).
