‘Champions of Youth’ dinner & auction happening Sept. 14

Kathleen and the late Tom Maas.

–Boys & Girls Clubs of Mid Central Coast is remembering the late Tom Maas and honoring his widow Kathleen and Tom’s children at the Annual Champions of Youth Auction & Gala at the Paso Robles Inn Ballroom on Sept. 14 at 5:30 p.m.

“Our organization received an extraordinarily generous gift from the Maas family prior to Tom’s untimely passing,” says Jeremy Deming, CEO of the Boys & Girls Clubs of Mid Central Coast. “It is the largest single donation we have received in our 53-year history. Tom Maas was one of the most beloved members of the Paso Robles community due to his generosity and commitment to the betterment of the area. He had a great and bold vision for Paso Robles, especially as it related to the young people who need us most. Part of his grand vision included building a new clubsite in the community. Through Tom’s generosity and passion for our mission, we are one step closer to fulfilling his vision. We are beyond thankful for his philanthropy, wisdom and vision. He will be dearly missed by all who knew and loved him.”

“I saw him living life each day as a person with great joy,” said Pat Bland, Board member of BGCMCC.

Approximately two hundred guests will enjoy a lively social hour with games of chance, silent auction, a three-course dinner with wine pairings, and a live auction led by Todd Ventura.
