Local CHP station changing commander

Lieutenant Chris Day, the current commander of the California Highway Patrol Station in Templeton, will be promoted to captain and move the Coastal Division Specials Services Unit in San Luis Obispo effective July 1, 2014.

“I have been the Commander in Templeton for the past two years and have greatly enjoyed working in this community,” said Day. “As much as I will miss working here on a daily basis, I am excited about the new position in San Luis Obispo.”

The new area commander will be Lieutenant Scott Parker who will begin working in Templeton in July.
