City plans to begin final design and preparation of bid documents in the coming weeks
– The City of Paso Robles has approved a $4 million allocation for street repairs using Measure J-20 funds. The funds will be directed toward repairs and maintenance of several key street segments.
The following streets will benefit from the investment:
- 16th Street (from Chestnut Street to Spring Street): $1.5 million
- 18th Street (from Vine Street to Spring Street): $350,000
- 30th Street (from Vine Street to Spring Street): $700,000
- 32nd Street (from Vine Street to Spring Street): $785,000
- 36th Street (from Vine Street to Spring Street): $710,000
The total investment for these repairs is $4,045,000, marking a significant step in the city’s ongoing infrastructure improvements, according to a press release from the city.
“The allocation of these funds, alongside the recent passage of Measure I-24, underscores the city’s long-term commitment to prioritizing street repairs and the overall well-being of our community,” said City Manager Ty Lewis. “Together, these efforts will ensure continued progress in improving our streets for years to come.”
The city plans to begin final design and preparation of bid documents in the coming weeks. Bidding is expected to begin in the second quarter of 2025, with construction set to start in late summer or early fall of 2025. The repairs will include grinding the existing surfaces, applying a new overlay, and upgrading curb ramps to comply with the Americans with Disabilities Act.
