City completing work on patio of Joe’s One-Niner Diner at airport
–The City of Paso Robles is completing work on the patio at the airport which will enhance dining at Joe’s One-Niner Diner.
Recently, the county completed work on a new roof over the patio. Wednesday, workers with Paso Robles Glass put windows around the patio.
Previously, the deck had no roof, which made it too hot in the summer and unusable during much of the winter.
Joe Ontiveros says furniture for the patio is expected to arrive in the next few days. After Dennis Bradshaw assembles the new tables and chairs, the patio will be opened to diners at the restaurant. Ontiveros says he hopes to have the expanded patio seating area functional by Labor Day Weekend.
While workers were installing the windows Wednesday morning, four Marine helicopters took off from the airport and flew north.
