Salary:
Maintenance Specialist I: $3,031 – $3,852 per month.
Maintenance Specialist II: $3,416 – $4,341 per month.
Description
Under direct or general supervision, performs a variety of semi-skilled work in the installation, modification, maintenance, repair, and operation of city infrastructure. Incumbents assist/perform routine maintenance of water supply, collection and distribution systems equipment; other related work as required.
Typical duties
Install maintains and repairs water production and water distribution facilities. Includes maintenance of wells, booster pumps, water reservoirs and tanks, chemical systems, monitoring related to water quality, and water meter installation/repair.
Must be available for regular standby assignments and work emergency overtime as required and in accordance with existing Memoranda of Understanding. Must be willing to work outdoors in all weather conditions and with exposure to traffic, fumes, odors, dust and potentially hazardous chemicals and conditions.
