City seeking senior input through community survey

Survey covers services offered by the Senior Center, City Library, and other facilities

    – The City of Paso Robles Community Services Department, in conjunction with the Senior Citizen Advisory Committee, has launched a 30-day survey seeking input from senior residents about local services and programs.

The survey asks seniors to provide feedback on services and programs offered at the Paso Robles Senior Center, the City Library, Paso Robles Recreation Services, and the Veterans Memorial Building. The survey covers services related to education, meals, transportation, mental health, financial assistance, health care, recreation, arts and crafts, entertainment, fellowship, and volunteer opportunities.

The survey is available in English and Spanish. Paper copies are available at the Paso Robles Senior Center at 270 Scott St., the Veterans Memorial Building at 240 Scott St., the City Library at 1000 Spring St., and Centennial Park at 600 Nickerson Drive. An online version of the survey is available under the Senior Services tab on the City of Paso Robles Recreation Services web page at prcity.com/recreation.

The survey period concludes on Thursday, Feb. 12.

“We are grateful to the Senior Citizen Advisory Committee for taking a sincere interest in wanting to know if the needs of seniors in our community are being met and for helping Recreation Services develop this survey,” said Recreation Services Manager Lynda Plescia. “We look forward to working with the advisory committee members to carefully review the results of the surveys and make recommendations based on their findings.”

The Senior Citizen Advisory Committee serves in an advisory capacity to the mayor of Paso Robles and the City Council by providing information on issues of importance to senior citizens in the Paso Robles community. Committee members advocate for senior citizens and serve as an information source on senior and aging topics.
