City seeking Supplemental Tax Oversight Committee member
–The City of Paso Robles Supplemental Tax Oversight Committee is currently accepting applications to fill an open spot of the nine-member committee.
In 2012, citizens authorized a 1/2 cent sales tax increase and requested it be used for road maintenance. To ensure public trust, the Paso Robles City Council created an oversight committee to verify funds were used as requested. The committee serves at the pleasure of the city council as a means to aid the city council in gathering public input by providing a forum through which private citizens may review and advise the city council.
The city will accept applications for appointment to this Supplemental Tax Oversight Committee until 5 p.m. Friday, March 31, 2017.
Applications may be obtained at Paso Robles City Hall, 1000 Spring Street, or at the city website: http://www.prcity.com/government/advisorybodies/pdf/AdvisoryApplication.pdf.
