City seeking volunteers for 4th of July celebration
Participants are only required to commit to one two-hour time slot
– The City of Paso Robles is preparing for its annual July 4 celebration at Barney Schwartz Park and is asking local residents and service organizations to help spread the word about volunteer opportunities.
The event will take place on Friday, July 4, and will feature live music from Moonshiner Collective, family activities, local food trucks, and a fireworks show to end the evening.
According to city officials, volunteers are essential to the success of the celebration. Shifts will run from 12 p.m. to 10 p.m., and participants are only required to commit to one two-hour time slot. Volunteers must be 18 or older.
Volunteer roles include lake monitoring, parking lot help, and access control.
Those who volunteer will receive reserved parking, a free meal, and an official event t-shirt to wear during their shift and keep afterward.
The city has asked local service organizations to share the information with their networks. A volunteer form is available online, along with a downloadable PDF version on the city website.
