City seeks applicants for Housing Constraints and Opportunities Committee

City council receives update on Highway 46 East overpass project

    – The City of Paso Robles is accepting applications for the Housing Constraints and Opportunities Committee through Sept. 25 at 5 p.m.

The recruitment is for two vacant community organization affiliate seats and one real estate professional seat. The affiliate seats are for representatives of the Home Builders Association of the Central Coast and the Paso Robles/Templeton Chamber of Commerce. The real estate professional seat requires applicants to hold a current real estate license and provide local business affiliation information. Affiliate applicants must also submit a referral letter from the respective organization.

The committee reviews housing issues and makes recommendations to the City Council on ways to increase housing production. Its work focuses on identifying constraints and opportunities in housing development within the city and making informed recommendations to address housing shortages, affordability, and related challenges.

The committee meets at least once annually in November and as needed throughout the year at 1000 Spring Street in the Council Chambers, unless otherwise noted on the agenda. Agendas and documents are delivered to members by email and posted on the city website at least 72 hours before any regular meeting.

The terms for the available seats are as follows: the Home Builders Association seat runs through Oct. 31, 2026, the Chamber of Commerce seat through Oct. 31, 2027, and the Real Estate Professional seat through Oct. 31, 2028.

A copy of the adopted bylaws is available at prcity.com/499/Housing-Constraints-Opportunities.
