City to begin downtown parking lot renovations July 14
Project aims to improve accessibility, safety, lighting, drainage, and parking efficiency
– The City of Paso Robles will begin renovations on two downtown public parking lots starting July 14, with temporary closures expected through September.
The parking lot located at 12th Street and Railroad Street will close first for construction. The 12th Street Alley Lot, located between Park and Spring streets near Marv’s Pizza, will remain open initially. Renovations on that lot are scheduled to begin in the coming weeks.
The project aims to improve accessibility, safety, lighting, drainage, and parking efficiency. Plans include maximizing available spaces, enhancing pedestrian and vehicle access, increasing the number of spaces compliant with the Americans with Disabilities Act, and contributing to the overall appearance of the downtown area.
While construction is underway, free public parking remains available at the 12th and Spring Street lot and the Train Station lot at 800 Pine Street. The city will use signage and communication channels to direct visitors and employees to alternative parking options.
More information and updates can be found at the Downtown Parking Lot Improvements page on the City of Paso Robles website.
