Community Foundation accepting applications for 2020 General Grant Program 

The Community Foundation San Luis Obispo County Opens 2020 General Grant Program

–The Community Foundation of San Luis Obispo County has opened its 2020 General Grant Program, offering assistance to organizations that are “addressing the needs of the region.”

The Community Needs Grant program, funded and coordinated by The Community Foundation San Luis Obispo County, brings together multiple funds to respond to current needs in the county and to support local nonprofit organizations in achieving their missions.

Proposals for grant funding will be accepted until 5 p.m. March 31, 2020. Education sessions about submitting proposals will be offered in person on Feb. 21, at 2 p.m. and via webinar on March 12, at 10 a.m.

The primary goal of the 2020 Grants Program is to provide funding for agencies and programs that directly address community needs as identified by local assessments and other sources, according to the foundation. The foundation will consider proposals focus on the following areas with an emphasis on direct services: Arts & Culture, Environment, Human Services, Women and Girls, the LGBTQ community, and Seniors and People with Disabilities.
