Community input sought at Larry Moore Park design open house

Event will be held May 8

    – The City of Paso Robles will host a design open house for Larry Moore Park on May 8 from 5:30 p.m. to 7 p.m. at the Acorn Room in Centennial Park, located at 600 Nickerson Drive.

The city is working with David Volz Design to develop a vision for the future of Larry Moore Park. Over recent months, residents have shared feedback that has helped shape a set of draft design concepts.

During the open house, community members can view the proposed draft plans, ask questions, and offer additional input to help finalize the design. City staff and members of the David Volz Design team will be present to discuss potential improvements and amenities.

“Community input plays a vital role in shaping our public spaces,” said Freda Berman, public works director for the City of Paso Robles. “Parks like Larry Moore are more than just open space—they’re places where neighbors connect and children play. We encourage everyone to come take a look at the draft designs and be part of the conversation about the future of this neighborhood park.”

Larry Moore Park is located at 155 Riverbank Lane near the Salinas River. The site currently includes a playground, barbecue area, baseball field with a backstop, and a soccer field. It also features the trailhead for the Salinas River Trail.

Residents who cannot attend the open house may email their comments to parks@prcity.com.
